Pepsi Chinas People Daily New Media

Everyday Heroes is a series of commemorative beverage can designs created for Pepsi in collaboration with the New Media division of China's People's Daily. The cans pay tribute to medical staff, workers, volunteers and delivery persons who served their communities on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each design honours a new generation of everyday heroes and expresses gratitude for their daily contributions. The packaging turns a familiar drink container into a simple public message of thanks and shared respect.

Pepsi Chinas People Daily New Media Beverage by PepsiCo Design and Innovation has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pepsi Chinas People Daily New Media Beverage received the Platinum A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
