Pageone Wudaokou
Beijing Pageone Wudaokou is a lighting design for a bookstore in the Haidian district of Beijing. The bookstore also holds exhibitions and lectures, so flexible lighting was selected to suit different uses. Bookshelf lighting is the main element, as it helps visitors find their preferred books. Three types of bookshelves receive different power levels per meter, and the highest level is used for accent lighting. LED linear lights and adjustable recessed downlights with a color temperature of 3000 kelvin and a color rendering index above 90 create a warm and soft reading atmosphere.
Pageone Wudaokou Bookstore by LDPi (China Branch) has been identified as a creative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pageone Wudaokou Bookstore won the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2022. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates outstanding design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
