Sound Wave
Sound Wave is a pendant lamp inspired by the visual form of a musical composition. The melody of Prelude No. 3, Wind on the Plain by Claude Debussy was converted into an image of a sound wave with a special program, and the resulting curve became the basis for the silhouette of the lamp. The shape was then adjusted for better light properties and for mass production. Matte white glass is placed over a metal structure, and a decorative glass element in blue, gold, black or gray is set on top, so visible fasteners are avoided. The wire height can be changed from 100 to 3000 mm.
Sound Wave Pendant Lamp by Alexey Danilin has been featured as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Sound Wave Pendant Lamp was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2024. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that rewards exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
