Uod
Uod is a smart chandelier designed for homes and work areas. The chandelier is anchored to the ceiling and can also serve as a task light for reading or working. A system of mobile stems bends the light OLED panels so that the illuminated surfaces face the working surface below. A connected mobile application measures the light level and adjusts the light power and the shape of the fixture. Visual comfort is improved by changing the position of the panels rather than by raising the power, which saves energy. Brushed aluminium, steel and OLED panels are used.
Uod Chandelier by Andrea Cingoli has been highlighted as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Uod Chandelier won the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2018. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
