Glassy Library

Glass Library is a lighting scheme for a library set inside a three-level split glass building. The ambient lighting is kept soft and even, so reading stays comfortable as daylight changes. Concealed LED strips inside suspended steel rods create a flowing halo. Recessed floor uplights emphasize the column and the feature wall, while custom recessed accent lights highlight the artifacts. A photo sensor near the glass curtain walls balances interior light levels during the day, as no dimming system could be used.

Yizheng Comprehensive Gymnasium

Yizheng Comprehensive Gymnasium is a lighting design for a public sports facility. The facade of the main building is made of tens of thousands of carmine ceramic rods, fixed with an original construction method developed through repeated full scale tests. The lighting follows the concept of a city gift box and presents the gymnasium as a crystal box that glows from inside to outside at night. Light with a warm color temperature is used on the main building for a soft appearance. Brick lamps at the base of the pillars guide visitors and reduce glare.

Shangrao Seazen Wuyue Plaza

Shangrao Seazen Wuyue Plaza is a nightscape lighting design for a large commercial complex. The theme draws on the local water culture, the dragon culture and the character of the building facade. The curtain wall facade acts as the carrier, where points, lines, light and shadow are combined to form calm night views. Two operation modes are provided. The daily mode covers basic lighting and safety. The festival mode highlights celebrations. An intelligent control system, LED lamps and fluorescent lamps are used to limit energy use.

Flex

Flex is a series of household lamps that includes two table lamps and one floor lamp. Each lamp is made of a solid wood light unit, a neodymium ball, a metal pole and a base. A magnetic connection joins the light unit to the stand and allows the light unit to be turned in any direction. The light unit can also be removed and fixed to other surfaces with magnetic accessories, so it can serve as a wall lamp. A touch sensor in the wooden housing sets three levels of brightness. The wood is coated with wax to keep its natural texture.

Xtension

Xtension is an adjustable lamp designed for homes and public spaces. The lamp extends from 1500 mm to 3000 mm and retracts again, while spherical latch points allow fixing to uneven surfaces. The body is made of aluminum and steel, and the rotating heads at both ends are in chromed or brushed steel. Three outer LED strips and an inner LED bar provide dimmable colour light, set through a mobile application over a Bluetooth connection. Xtension can serve as a ceiling light, a floor lamp, a dividing light or, in a cluster, a signal light.

Thorn

Believing that it is possible to grow and differentiate organic forms in nature without disturbing their structure and expression by coincidences, and that human beings have an instinctive affinity for natural forms, Yılmaz Dogan said that while designing Thorn, he wanted to reflect growth with forms that emulate nature without any dimension limitation in illumination. Thorn, which is a source of inspiration for a natural branch of Thorn; grows in a random structure and forms natural, meets different needs and has no size limit as a good lighting design.
